Psychological Thriller Idea
Aims
A Psychological Thriller set in modern day Plainfield Wisconsin,
A recently divorced women moves to a new house in Plainfield, Wisconsin. To escape from her domineering ex-husband, only to find a deep sense of deja vu in her new home. She soon discoverers that the house was build on the remains of the Gein residance. The home of the of infamous "Ghoul of Plainfield". Why does she recognise this house? And why is the cellar "Off limits"?
A Scene.
Scene 2
The knocking became louder and louder as she approached the cellar door. This door had been locked ever since she came to the Gien residence. Nothing more had been said about it, but tonight she wished. Oh she wished that she was more forceful with the landlord to tell her more about this strange and fearful house. As she neared the door her imagination ran array. Who was there? What was there? Was it dangerous? It must be if it locked in the cellar. But she took a deep breath
In-depth Story outline.
Maggie after being beaten by her drunk husband for the last time, leaves and divorces him. But that does not resolve her fear of him hurting her again. Fortunately for her, their daughter went of to college early that year so a custody of him did not need to be discussed until later.But it was made clear that she wanted solo custody. But even with the law on her side the divorce settlement was quite fierce and dirty but her lawyer managed to get the house and a portion of the assets. But after the horrific night of her husbands violent drinking living their was not a option. A not so great bonus is that he will know were they are. She cant take that chance. She had a distant uncle that lived in Wisconsin a decade or two ago. In the small town of Plainfield nothing really happened. The residents just lived out their lives in the dullest way possible, cause no trouble or break their cycle of living. A massive change of the hustle and bustle of the streets of San Francisco no horns beeps or people shouting just calm stillness. Maggie's new place of living is on the outskirts of the town on an abandoned farm house. The fields are desolate and isolated from the rest of the town. The house looks deep-rooted and timeworn, the large farm house
Story ideas.
She has been to this house before.
Ed Gien had rumoured to have a young child in the house in the years before her was arrested.
Clues around the house prove that she was hear i.e letters on the floor boards and other yet to be thought off.
Her memory starts to come back, the more she stays in the house. Comes in nightmares.
